Scottsdale Police Headquarters
& Fire Station
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Owner: City of Scottsdale
Size: Police Headquarters: 49,000 SF / Fire Substation: 3,105 SF

The City of Scottsdale new Police Headquarters and Satellite Fire Station, with living quarters, was designed to accommodate the city’s needs well into the future. The Police Headquarters consists of two levels and some basement area. This three-story Police Headquarters building incorporates all of the senior management functions of the Scottsdale Police Department. As such, it features an open, inviting public lobby and reception area, which is carefully separated from the high security side of the police department dealing in evidence, witnesses, arrestees, and narcotics. The facility includes a complete precinct building, prisoner detention cells, crime and photography laboratories, lockers, physical training rooms, weapons range, detective, interview and administrative offices, numerous conference rooms, and classrooms. Also included in the design are electronic hardware, laboratory equipment, fully landscaped site with fountains, and covered areas for 170 vehicles with complete refueling facilities.
