Cottonwood Oak Creek
Location: Cottonwood, AZ |
Owner: Cottonwood Oak Creek School District
Size: 45,000 SF
A historic renovation of original three story school building in the Cottonwood Oak Creek School District. First built in 1916, the building function was converted to a District Office in late 1960’s after new district facilities were built elementary through high school. The District desired a more aesthetically pleasing street presence with modernized interior public meeting spaces. Exterior
improvements focused on an updated paint palette, restored historic cornice and column reliefs, and upgraded windows/doors. Low rise site walls were strategically located to conceal existing ground mounted mechanical equipment to develop a more welcoming appearance for visitors. The accomplished goal was a timeless building facelift that respected and encompassed the historic character.
