George Gardner Performing Arts Center
Location: Holbrook, AZ
Owner:
Holbrook USD No.3
Size:
27,566 SF

The George Garner Performing Arts Center was the finalization of a 30-year planning process for Holbrook Unified School District and the Community of Holbrook. After a bond election process held in November 2005, the district was granted with $4.5 million to start the construction of the facility.

The School District and the community coordinated a fundraising campaign for a final budget of $7.5 million for the construction of the building. The facility has a full fly loft with 50’-0” wide proscenium and orchestra pit, with a seating capacity of 809 in 27,000 SF. The auditorium was designed with careful review of the natural acoustics in its shape and materials selection to provide excellent natural acoustics throughout the house.
